What you can do

There are lots of things you can do to support the Ely Wildspace area.

Get hands on! There are loads of different activities that you can participate in to help with the management of the habitat in the Wildspace - including hedge planting, clearing ragwort and picking litter. Check our Diary for forthcoming events or become a member and we will let you know when opportunities arise.

• If a planning application is made for development in the Wildspace, write to the Planning Department at ECDC to express your views. If you are a member of LCPRE, we will let you know when this needs to be done.

• Make sure elected officials know the value of the Wildspace. If you are talking to your local councillors or MP, then you could let them know how much you value wildlife and the Wildspace area.

• Get out and enjoy the Wildspace! Explore the countryside, take note of the animals and plants you spot and let us know if you see anything interesting.

Join us. By becoming a member you add strength to our voice so that we can campaign on your behalf more efficiently and effectively, for all the remaining wild places around Ely. Signing up will also mean that we can keep you informed of news about the Wildspace as well as opportunities for helping out with its management.

• Talk to other people about the Wildspace, and persuade them to get involved.
